The Recreation Park Gets a Face lift and a New Community Center!

Peter has gifted considerable funds to enhance the Community Center and the park. He has stated his expectation that in support of his gift to Troy “efforts are made” on the part of the town officials and residents to raise money for the Samuel E. Paul Community Center and Recreation Park and ongoing support.
Over the next few months you can expect to see a lot of action at Sand Dam! After completion, you will enter an enlarged paved parking lot.

Troy Voted "YES" to New Community

At the Troy annual meeting on March 13, 2014, the residents voted in favor to build a new Community Center at the park!  The entire park will also receive a new facelift! Special thanks to the Samuel E. Paul Commission for their Master Plan, Jim Dicey for promoting it and especially Dr. Paul's son, Peter Paul, whose generous contribution has made this dream possible.

Great News!

Great News! A private donation of $179,000.00 has been secured and will be combined with existing funds to insure there will be no burden of cost to the taxpayers for significant improvements at Sand Dam.
A large (40’ x 60’) multi-use Community Center has been added to last year’s Master Plan.  It includes a large main room with a divider for meetings, a full size kitchen, bathrooms and cellar for storage.  In addition, the parking lot will be enlarged. The new facility will be ideal for fundraisers, meetings, voting, and special events.
